A teenager who disappeared after leaving her house on Long Island has been found, police announced. 

Brissney Matheu, age 15, had last been seen leaving her Levittown home on Tuesday, Dec. 5, according to Nassau County Police. 

Days later, on Friday, Dec. 8, the department announced that Matheu had been located. 

Additional information, such as Matheu's condition or where she was found, were not made public.

Police are searching for a teenage girl who they said went missing after leaving her Long Island home.

Fifteen-year-old Brissney Matheu was last seen in Levittown on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

According to Nassau County Police, she left her home around 7:15 a.m. and has not been seen since.

Brissney is described as 5-foot-5 with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs approximately 110 pounds.

No description of her clothing was available.
